Ed Steele
Over 20 years ago, I had an accident that led to my being in and out of hospitals for
three years. I had six major and three minor operations. In the end, my right leg could
not be saved and an amputation was necessary. For the next 15 years I thought I was living
a normal life for an amputee. Then I came here. This is where it all changed for me. For
me, this is a place where miracles are made. For fifteen years, I walked around on
antiquated, plastic and rubber legs. When I moved to New York from Virginia 10 years ago,
I tried many different Prosthetists with no satisfactory results. Then, one day I noticed
a crack in the socket of my prosthesis and through the yellow pages found Ted. During that
first visit, he told me about the possibilities that the industry had to offer. Now I run,
I bike, I walk 18 holes regularly and I try to keep up with my five-year-old.
I think there are many advantages to the way Ted runs his business. From
the moment you enter the building, the friendliness and genuine concern
of the staff strike you. Their first priority is to make their clients
comfortable and to assuage any fears they might have. You will not find
overpriced, impersonal machines doing the job that the professional is
intended to do. When you are fitted by Care Crafters, Inc. you are fitted
personally and with hands on care. The fitting rooms were a revelation
to me. Their expansiveness gives the client a sense of relaxation. All
too often clients at other Prosthetists find themselves placed in a small
cubicle or claustrophobic space that makes them all the more uncomfortable.
I have tried to keep this short, but my points are simple - Care Crafters,
Inc. is professional, personable, and caring about the needs of the client
and the doctors they work with. To ignore this is tantamount to weakening
your relationship with your clients. Help your clients lead a better life.
Help them realize their potential. I can honestly assure you that you
will not work with any other Prosthetist or Orthotist with more character
or ability than those at Care Crafters, Inc.This company is about caring
and delivering. I know. I am walking, no, running proof. See what a difference
they can make for you.

Francis Lamparelli
Francis
Lamparelli is a hip disarticulation patient.
I came in, walking with the aid of crutches. After almost a year, I am
on the verge of walking with a cane. My goal is to walk unaided. Servicing
my prosthesis was so frustrating; to have to leave your leg overnight
or for an extended period of time. With Care Crafters, Inc. I never have
to wait for anything. Ted comes in early in the morning to work with me
so I can use all the facilities. I have made much progress under the care
of Ted. He has just been great. I can't say enough about him.

Frank Arcuri
Frank Arcuri has bilateral solid ankle foot orthoses due to Gullian Barrie Syndrome. He
had the first handicapped plate for a motorcycle in the state of New York.
I was having a lot of problems with my heels, and my orthopedist recommended
that I see Ted. I am real happy with my braces. Making these braces is
not an exact science, and from my experience it usually comes close, but
I have to have sores and a breakdown of my feet before adjustments are
made. With Care Crafters, Inc. Ted was great - he had the braces perfect
on the first shot, with a few minor adjustments. I can almost run in them,
which is new to me. They feel great, and the performance level is excellent
too.
